Reuse and Recycling Centres (RRCs)

Each Reuse and Recycling Centre (RRC) has different restrictions on what can be recycled. Visit the Recycling Centres page and select an RRC for more information.

This service is for the use of personal household waste, therefore commercial, trade or industrial waste is not accepted. Visit the NLWA website for a full list of what can and cannot be recycled.

Each RRC has its own operating hours. Visit the Recycling Centres page and select an RRC for more information.

To ensure smooth unloading of your rubbish and recycling, we request that you allow ample time before our site closes. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before closing time to ensure you have the best chance of being granted access. You can find the full conditions of entry here.

You do not need to book in advance if you want to visit the RRCs by car, bicycle or on foot.

If you are coming in a van, trailer or stripped vehicle, you need to book in advance using the van booking system. This includes any vehicle without seats fitted in the back including minibuses with seats removed and crew cab type (pick-up) vehicles.

If you are coming in a van, trailer or stripped vehicle, the maximum number of yearly visits allowed is 6.

You may book multiple visits in one day but note that each visit will count towards your yearly 6 visit maximum.

If you have more questions about an RRC, call 0207 464 2225 and select a site to speak with someone.

LondonEnergy EcoPark

The EcoPark is a 40 acre site that houses our Energy Centre. The centre converts household waste unsuitable for recycling into electricity to power homes and businesses.

It also houses our new flagship Resource Recovery Facility, including a brand new Recycling and Fuel Preparation Facility where borough vehicles deliver waste to be sorted on site. This includes the removal of materials suitable for recycling or reuse such as wood, plastics and metal, or for waste that cannot be recycled to be prepared for energy recovery.

We offer free of charge tours for local schools, colleges, community groups and residents who want to know more about what LondonEnergy does.

You’ll be able to see firsthand how we deliver recycling, reuse and energy recovery for the community of North London. The 90 minute program includes an overview of what we do, general questions, and a visit to some areas of the Energy Centre and Control Room.

To find out more and to book a tour, email enquiries@faithfulwebdesign.net.

Please note, the maximum number of visitors allowed per tour is ten. For safety reasons, visitors must be aged 14 or older.
